Serve with rice pilaf and green beans for a nice meal
Yield: Serves 4
Cut each steak into equal halves. In a small bowl, combine olive oil with 1 Tablespoon garlic. Rub over top of steaks. Preheat broiler.
In a medium saucepan place 1 Tablespoon garlic, onion, 2 Tablespoons juice from tomatoes, sugar, salt and pepper. Cook and stir until onion has softened, about 4 minutes. Add undrained tomatoes and basil. Cook uncovered over medium heat until sauce starts to thicken, about 5 minutes.
Place steaks on broiling pan and broil for approximately 10 minutes per inch of thickness, turning once during that time.
Broil until fish starts to brown slightly and is close to the point of flakiness. Top steaks with sauce and serve.
